Ravece is an ancient cultivar, variety, of olives that originated in Irpinia in the early sixteenth century and its fruit is appreciated for its peculiar organoleptic characteristics.
The production area of the Ravece extra virgin olive oil includes 38 municipalities of Ufita and Valle Media Del Calore, in the province of Avellino. Ravece is an intense fruity oil and one of its unique features is definitely its intense and fresh aroma. On the palate a sweet entrance is followed by a balanced sensation of bitterness and spiciness that recalls ginger.
Thanks to its distinctive aromatic profile, this oil adds a touch of authenticity to any culinary preparations but it is particularly suited for salads, grilled vegetables, bruschetta, fresh pasta and grilled fish.
