Malvasia Puntinata, also called Malvasia del Lazio, is another member of the Malvasia grape family that produces white wines. The grape is highly sensitive to the majority of grape diseases and, as a result, plenty of winemakers used the Malvasia di Candia in its place because more resistant to diseases than Malvasia Puntinata, however, Malvasia Candia is a grape of lower quality. Malvasia Puntinata grapes are now being replanted and they are used to produce high quality wines using solely this variety, it is a grape that produces wonderfully sweet wines.
