Italyabroad.com, in partnership with the "famiglia" behind Nonna Ida olive oil, is excited to launch the "Adopt an Olive Tree" initiative. Set in the picturesque region of Abruzzo, Nonna Ida’s beloved olive grove is home to around 100 ancient olive trees, featuring the renowned Gentile di Chieti cultivar, a native variety central to the region’s heritage. Unfortunately, these historic trees have long been neglected and are now in need of revitalization.

When you enroll in the "Adopt an Olive Tree" program, you’ll receive a personalized adoption package, including stunning photographs of your adopted tree, an official adoption certificate, and its exact location via Google Maps. This thoughtful and sustainable gesture makes a unique gift for family, friends, or corporate occasions, helping preserve these vital groves and our environment for future generations.

As a special thank you, each adopter will receive three quarterly shipments of 3 liters of pure organic extra virgin olive oil directly from Nonna Ida's lovingly cared-for grove. Italyabroad.com was founded in 2003 in response to a lack of quality Italian wine and food. As soon as Andrea (the founder) landed in the UK noticed that Italian products available were not the ones he was used to when grwoing up in Italy.

From wine to food, Andrea could not find the quality he was used to and coming from a wine making family, he decided to embark in a journey to source quality Italian wine and food from small Italian, artisan producers: Italyabroad.com’s mission is to discover and import Italian gems from small, little known, yet dedicated, Italian wineries and artisans.

All our products are authentic and of the highest quality and made using the best, natural ingredients and respecting the environment; none of our product contains palm oil or preservatives, we believe in a healthy living and eating and drinking well is essential for a long and healthy life. We do not import industrially made products or so called "Italian sounding" food.
