The artisan who made it
More than a century ago, a visionary engineer named Agostino Miraglia transformed his family’s volcanic land at the foot of Mount Etna into a flourishing olive grove. “The land of fire will give a fruit that shines like gold,” he declared - and so began the story of a truly exceptional extra virgin olive oil.
Beneath the warm Sicilian sun and swept by sea-kissed winds, Agostino’s olive trees thrived in the mineral-rich volcanic soil, absorbing nature’s best to produce a golden oil bursting with flavour, depth, and heritage.
From the beginning, the Miraglia estate has been built on a deep respect for nature and tradition. Agostino personally oversaw every harvest - always by hand - selecting only the finest Nocellara Etnea olives to ensure the purity and quality of each bottle. Every drop of oil captured not just the richness of the land, but the passion and soul of the Miraglia family.
The legacy continued through Agostino’s son, Rosario, and now thrives under the leadership of his grandson, Roberto Miraglia. With each generation, innovation has been embraced without ever compromising tradition. Ancient methods of cold-press extraction are now paired with state-of-the-art machinery, preserving the nutritional integrity and bold character of this premium extra virgin olive oil.
