Why we love it
A fantastic oil in a beautiful ceramic bottle, an oil from the recently created IGP Roma, from a blend of selected Salviana, Frantoio, Itrana olive varieties, cold pressed.
This a "riserva" extra virgin olive oil, only made with selected olives, not only manually collected but successively put through an optical sorter to ensure that only the very best are used, with a very limited production, individually numbered, with a production of only about 1000 bottles per year, it depends on the year. We managed to get 20 bottles for this year.
The bottle on the other side, is elegant, with a background of sampietrini, the traditional Roman stone used to build roads, and the city skyline, from the Colosseum to the St Peter's Basilica that if you have to Rome it remind you how beautiful the eternal city is and if you haven't, you just want to go.
The Oil is green, medium fruity, with bitterness and spiciness balanced, it is perfect for grilled red meat,soups, roasted potatoes and vegetables, and salads.
