A very delicate honey, this organic raw Acacia honey harvested in Campania is a natural sweetener with a very delicate vanilla and candy aftertaste. The raw Acacia honey crystalizes due to a natural process.
Our honey is 100% Italian.
Acacia honey with its delicate flavour and a soft, floral and fruity scent goes well with blue cheeses, such as Gorgonzola. Additionally, due to its lightness it can also be combined with semi-mature cheeses, such as provolone or pecorino, to soften their flavour. Acacia honey is considered an anti-inflammatory and is particularly recommended for throat irritation, but also as a mild laxative.
Not all honey is created equal. In fact, not all “honey” is even real honey, a number of ingredients are often added to what we buy as “honey”. Raw honey comes straight from the honeycomb, and is honey in its purest form. It is unfiltered, unheated and unpasteurized, processes which can destroy the natural vitamins (high in vitamin C and B vitamins), minerals and enzymes found in honey and to get the maximum benefits from honey, it's important to purchase it in its raw organic form, because regular honey has been filtered and processed, losing some of its nutritional properties along the way.
The health benefits of raw honey are endless, check our
honey guide to learn about them.
Bottega delle Api is love for nature, passion for honey and bee care.
In 1994 Francesco and Giovanni started breeding bees, moved only by their passion and without any knowledge. They started with four hives, 30 years and thousands bee stings later, they now have more than six hundred.
They consider the bees members of their family, they are looked after using only natural products and are let to enjoy and produce honey in the most uncontaminated areas of our territory. Our Mediterranean maquis is so rich in perfumes and plant essences that their honey is naturally excellent.
Bottega delle Api is in Cava de' Tirreni, a few steps from Salerno, at the gates of the Amalfi Coast. In a splendid valley between the Lattari Mountains and the Cilento Coast, an ideal place for bees to thrive and produce an outstanding honey
