Gin Piu Cinque (75cl)

Yes, Italians do gins and what a gin. An award winning Italian gin, a gold medal winner at the International gin competition, made using 10 botanicals where 5 have greater intensity than the other hence the name “Piu’ Cinque” , plus five in Italian, which amongst the botanicals sage, bergamot and juniper for an elegant nose and a smooth and subtle palate with a complex finish.

The Piu’ Cinque distillery is located in the north of Italy and the botanicals are collected from the Dolomite mountains, just behind the distillery, where the air is clean, the nature is untouched and the flavours are more intense.

Italian gin is very exciting, and Italian gin still means mainly craft gin, with only a few industrial distilleries and is characterized by the use of local botanicals or ingredients of which the country is rich of.

Antonio, Filippo and Giacomo are three Venetian friends that created Piu Cinque gin after months of smelling, tasting and especially arguing, in their quest for an excellent gin, as they call it, they could not find a gin they liked and was versatile as they wanted it.

They eventually created the Piu Cinque (plus five) and its name indicates the intensity of the botanicals present in the recipe, the gin is made using 10 Italian botanicals, but 5 of them are felt more than the others.
