Why we love it
Erbaluce is a native, little know, Piedmont grape, a grape that can produce outstanding white wines, hence the DOCG status for the grapes grown within the Caluso town borders.
Erbaluce di Caluso Rend Nen is a natural wine made with the best grapes, a wine to meditate, to enjoy sip after sip, a wine with an intense nose with acacia and wild flowers, notes of peach, pear and exotic fruit with by spicy hints of hazelnut, almonds and honey, complex, rich. On the palate the wine is fresh, elegant, full, persistent.
The Erbaluce di Caluso Rend Nen is aged in amphorae.
The artisan who made it
Luca Leggero’s wines are acts of love towards the “Canavese” area.
Luca Leggero is a young winemaker, he was born in Turin in 1990 and spent his youth in Villareggia , a small rural village in the province of Turin on the outskirts of the Canavese, a historical geographical region of Piedmont between Turin and the Aosta Valley.
From a young age, thanks to his grandfather, a great viticulture enthusiast, Luca got acquainted with the world of wine and after years of tests and experiments, he decided to dedicate full time to viticulture and specifically the two native grapes, Nebbiolo and Erbaluce .
Luca believes that a good wine is made in the vineyards first and foremost and then in the cellar and for that reason Luca follows organic, biodynamic and natural principles.
