Why we love it

A great pinot nero from Alto Adige, with a fruity and spicy nose, elegant, lots of cherries, smooth, lively, a very long finish of black cherry.

This Pinot Nero find its perfect accompaniment in pasta and white meat but also on its own.

The artisan who made it

Located in Alto Adige, the norther area of the Trentino Alto Adige region, Tenuta Kornell is located amongst lush palm trees and ancient conifers, where the Mediterranean wind meets the dry winds coming from the north. The soils, rich in porphyry that quickly absorb heat during the day, creates the ideal weather conditions for growing vines.

Tenuta Kornell has been making wine for over 700 years and today like yesterday, Florian Brigl and his young team are united by a passion for viticulture, where people and nature work in harmony. Their philosophy is to produce unique, honest wines made with perfect grapes, native grapes, from Lagrein to Gewurztraminer.
