Cavalpoggio Toscana Bianco, San Luciano (75cl)

Cavalpoggio Toscana Bianco is the result of a careful selection of Trebbiano,Malvasia and Grechetto grapes blended together. Cavalpoggio Toscana Bianco is an everyday, very versatile, white wine, even if it finds its perfect match in fish dishes, fresh cheeses and delicate dishes.

On the nose the wine is fresh, delicate and fruity with notes of white fruit, in the palate it is medium bodied, elegant, balanced and fresh with.

The generations of winemakers of the Ziantoni family are lost in time. San Luciano comes from the flourishing Roman hills of Marino where they have always made wine, white wine. In 1972, due to the urban expansion towards the countryside Ovidio Ziantoni moved from Lazio to Tuscany, purchasing the property of San Luciano, in the territory of Monte San Savino (Ar), upper Val di Chiana, a property with a small church dedicated to San Luciano from which the winery take its name.

Coming from a land with a white wine tradition to a land famous for its red wines, Ovidio decides to plant the grapes he is familiar with, the grapes he has grown with, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Grechetto e Vermentino together with the traditional Tuscan grapes, Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo, and some Montepulciano. With the new generation, with Stefano and Marco, the winery grows with the addition of more vineyards and grapes, the international Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
