Why we love it
A blend of the native Nasco with the international Moscato and Chardonnay, a wine where the nose is initially taken over by the Moscato grape with an intense and complex bouquet. Delicate aromas of honey intertwine with the fragrant essence of yellow flowers, creating a captivating olfactory experience before the Nasco slowly appears.
The palate is smooth, soft, lively, here the chardonnay becomes the main pillar, where mineral notes dance on the tongue, adding a layer of sophistication and depth. The wine's long sapidity ensures a lingering finish, leaving a memorable impression.
Su 'Aro is aged in steel on its lees for at least five months, to increase its structure and complexity.
This white wine pairs perfectly a variety of dishes, from starter to main course, to duck.
The artisan who made it
Nestled amidst the picturesque, rolling hills of Marmilla, Sardinia, Su’entu presents a captivating 90-hectare estate—a true testament to the region's rich viticultural heritage and commitment to sustainable agriculture. This sprawling estate, a harmonious blend of nature and human artistry, encompasses sun-drenched vineyards, flourishing olive groves, and a vibrant garden, all contributing to the unique character of Su’entu wines.
Of the 90 hectares, 40 are dedicated to meticulously cultivated vineyards, where native Sardinian grape varietals thrive under the Mediterranean sun. The vineyards' proximity to the sea ensures a constant caress of saline-rich breezes, imbuing the grapes with a distinctive tang that defines Su’entu’s exceptional wines. This unique terroir, a crucial element in Sardinian wine production, is carefully preserved through sustainable practices.
Su’entu’s commitment to quality is evident in their meticulous grape harvesting process. Night-time hand harvesting, a labor of love, ensures optimal ripeness and preserves the unique terroir of each vineyard. Each wine produced is crafted from grapes grown in specific crus, or vineyard plots, showcasing the distinct characteristics of the native Sardinian varietals cultivated.
Su’entu’s dedication to sustainability extends far beyond their vineyards. They believe in fostering a legacy of expertise and passion by training local youth under the guidance of their experienced agronomist. This commitment to community and environmental stewardship ensures the preservation of Marmilla’s viticultural heritage for generations to come.
