Lambrusco Incantabiss, Fondo Bozzole (75cl)

Lambrusco Incantabiss is obtained from Lambrusco Ruberti grapes, grown using the Guyot method - a technique rarely employed in the plains due to its significant yield reduction of 50%. However, it goes by itself that, this deliberate choice ensures exceptional quality, as lower yields produce more concentrated and healthy grapes.

Ruberti is a native Mantovana variety, cherished among Lambrusco grapes for its softness and distinctive character. True to its name, Incantabiss (from the Italian "incanta," meaning "astonishes"), this wine is Franco and Mario's masterpiece. Its vibrant ruby red color with purple reflections is complemented by a lively foam. On the nose, it offers mineral notes alongside intense aromas of red fruits, particularly strawberry, creating a soft yet complex bouquet.

Lambrusco Incantabiss pairs exquisitely with a variety of dishes, including cold cuts, chicken, grilled meats, grilled fish, and risottos.

We have known Franco and Mario for a few years now, we came across them in a blind tasting of Lambrusco and fell in love with theirs. We rung and arranged to see their farm, their vineyards, and it was like we have known each other for ever.

They introduced themselves as being farmers before being winemakers, they have the utmost care for their vineyards and orchards, they work tirelessly, they consider themselves part of the nature, their environment, so everything is done keeping that well in mind.

Their winery, Fondo Bozzole, is located in the in the Oltre Po Mantovano, in the only Lambrusco DOC appellation outside Emilia Romagna. With a very small production, the winery is run just by them, each wine is unique and special, each wine is a drinking experience.
