Orange Wine Maia, Forti del Vento (75cl)

Maia is a natural orange wine obtained from the Cortese grape, the same variety that produces the Gavi, from an old vineyard that had been abandoned and is now cultivated following the organic and biodynamic farming, this wine embodies a commitment to sustainable viticulture.

Following the natural winemaking philosophy, Maia contains no added sulfites, with fermentation driven by the native yeasts present on the grapes. This orange wine is unfiltered, resulting in a wine with a rich and inviting aroma featuring notes of ripe white fruit. On the palate, Maia is full bodied, elegant, and well structured, balanced and with a long finish. This wine highlights the versatility and potential of the Cortese grape when carefully cultivated.

Versatile and food-friendly, Maia pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, white meats, and fresh to medium aged cheeses. Best enjoyed at a temperature of 13-14°C, it’s an exceptional choice for those seeking a natural, distinctive orange wine experience.

Forti del vento is Marco, Manuela and Tomaso that have taken over from their grandparents the love for work and the discipline of the land and an innovative spirit. The name Forti del Vento stands for strength and lightness; matter and spirit. Forti del Vento wines are about ancient and natural methods, preserving the woods and hedges and consider insects their allies for maintaining the richness deriving from biodiversity.

Forti del Vento is biodynamic agriculture. The Forti del Vento winery and vineyards, 7 hectares growing native local grapes, is located in the Alto Monferrato, Piedmont. The vineyards are located in the heart of the Dolcetto area, about about 300m above sea level. Their goal is to make wines that talks about their work, the respect for the territory, the grapes that come from. They like found themselves in a glass of wine instead of getting lost in a glass of water.

Together with Dolcetto they grow barbera, chardonnay, albarossa and cortese.
