Why we love it
Made from a blend of Gaglioppo and Nerello Calabrese grapes, both native to Calabria, 1949 takes its name from the founder date of birth. It is a wine that is obtained from the oldest vineyards, very low yield, and partially fermented in oak barrel. The result is a red wine with a complex nose with red fruit and spices. In the palate the wine is full, smooth, velvety with soft tannins, balanced, with a big structure and a long finish.
This wine is the perfect accompaniment to rich course, red meat and mature cheeses.
