Another exceptional Supertuscan, crafted from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet vinified and aged for 12 months in barrique.
Bottled only in the best vintages and in very limited quantity - around 1000bt per year - this wine is made from grapes grown in two old vineyards. This wine boasts a complex, intense nose where the black fruit of the merlot combines beautifully with the heartiness of the cabernet franc and subtle wood notes. Full bodied, elegant, with a big structure, smooth, yet lively with a persistent, mineral finish. Simply outstanding.

Rigoloccio is a winery located in the heart of the Maremma, Tuscany, that takes its name from Rigoloccio, stream in Tuscan dialect, name given to the pyrite mine discovered in 1898 that was once where the winery is, providing plenty of minerals to the grapes.
Rigoloccio is a small winery with about 8 hectares of vineyards surrounded by olive and cork trees with a very low yield to ensure the best possible quality for the grapes and each vineyard, cru, and grape is fermented separately and only at the end they are blended. The vineyards, located between 40m and 100m asl, benefit of the sea breeze with very cold night essential when wanting to make great wines.
